School Closure Update #3

School Closure Update #2:
Mrs. Canam
- Hi everyone! I hope you are doing your best to stay entertained while at home. I am enjoying time with my kids and trying to come up with interesting meals to feed everyone. I am also reading some, watching a lot of Netflix, and socializing over social media with my friends and family. I am missing being in the classroom with you and wonder how you are all doing. I hope we get to talk about all of this when we are back together....you are living through a future history book!
- I have evaluated all of the Multi Genre projects that were handed in to me on the due date of Friday, March 13 and the marks have been placed in Power School; I will give you the detailed rubric when we return to school. I really enjoyed reading these projects and learning from them and my overall sense is that most of you enjoyed being able to learn about something that you were interested in.
- If you HAVE NOT handed in the Multi Genre project, I would like for you to send them to me through email at [email protected] if at all possible. If there are some genres/parts of the project that are not digital, you can take a photo of them to include in the project. Thanks for your help with this.
Mrs. Canam
School Closure Update:
Sincerely,
Mrs. M. Canam
- Hi everyone! I hope you are well and keeping busy at home. Just a note that I will not be assigning any NEW work during the two week school closure. However, you do have your independent novel to read and to complete your preparation for your book talk for your return (information found on this web page under the February 24-28 post. You also know the requirements for the memoir: 600-800 words, personal, MLA formatting, word count at the end. This was assigned to you before Friday, March 13 and you should work on this to complete for your return. Please use the activities from your Writer's Notebooks to come up with the story you will tell. Remember the things good writers do when writing their memoir and try to mimic some of those moves. I would also encourage you to read, read, read! The app called OverDrive is an app you can use to connect to the Fredericton Public Library. With your library card you can access all of the library's ebooks and audiobooks. I use this all the time and I hope you will find it useful.
- I will update the website if I hear of any new information that directly impacts you and our course. If you (or parents) have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected].
- I wish you all well and hope to see you soon!
Sincerely,
Mrs. M. Canam
